Why now

In recent years, the Muslim community on Montreal's South Shore has experienced remarkable growth. With this growth, the need for an authentic educational project has become increasingly urgent — one that preserves our children's faith and identity, and provides them with a learning environment that combines academic excellence with Islamic values.

The establishment of an Islamic school in our region is no longer merely a hope; it is a pressing necessity. It is a need that supports families, safeguards the identity of our children, and instills in them pride in their religion, their morals, and their sense of belonging.

Where we are

For nearly five years, we have been striving to take the necessary steps toward this goal, searching for a suitable location that would meet the requirements of such a project and satisfy the official standards and regulations. The journey has not been easy, but we have not lost hope. We have continued to search, inquire, and persevere.

By the grace of Allah, a real window of opportunity has now opened before us. After the closure of a school that had offered education in English due to low enrollment, we were able to take the first essential steps by securing a suitable building and beginning the necessary official procedures.

We would like to emphasize with complete clarity that this project is still in its early stages. What has been accomplished so far is the beginning of the journey and an effort to take the proper means. As for the official and ministerial approvals, these may take time before they are fully completed. However, by the grace of Allah, the process has begun, and the first foundation for this blessed project has now been laid.

The strong response from the community to this initiative fills our hearts with hope and confirms that this is not the project of a few individuals, but rather the project of an entire community, a collective need, and a trust toward our sons and daughters.

For this reason, we call upon every Muslim brother and sister to take part in this blessed effort: through الدعاء, by spreading the word, by offering support, by standing with us, and by contributing to the establishment of this institution, which we hope will become a beacon of knowledge, التربية, and faith for generations to come.
